…just to make this dock my home.
Well, 2 hours by Jitney. I haven’t posted much and this is the excuse – a summer Hamptons rental. I didn’t have a good internet connection so devoted my weekends to sleeping, eating, and hanging with friends. Ahhh…what a smart move. I miss it already, but glad to have my Brooklyn weekends back.
How was everyone’s summer? Please post a comment on the one thing you did this summer that put the biggest smile on your face.
And thanks to the person that took this photo and is responsible for many of the smiles on my face these days.

somebody please post to this thread I do no want to be the first…..ooops
OK, I’ll post – how was your summer Mike, give me one “happy moment” memory…knowing you it will probably involve meatballs.
I will have to get back to you on one good time I had this summer, still thinking.
As to meatballs, I have been working in Carroll Gardens for the past year and one day a coworker said lets send out to Vinny’s for lunch. So I thought great I will get a meatball hero. Well let me tell you that were some of the worst meatballs I have had in years.
Oh no! How sad. Vinny’s food is generally great – basic, but consistent. However, back when we were talking Carroll Gardens meatballs I did say that my favorite ones in the neighborhood were at Frankie’s (Court Street between 4th Place and Luquer) have you tried them? And…have you checked out Lucali’s pizza yet? Not to be missed!
I doubt a tornado could have blown those meat balls away.
I am not giving up on Vinny’s yet.
To all the Sugar Cookie posters out there (and there are so many of you
). Have a HAPPY THANKSGIVING.
Ahhh…it’s not their fault Mike, they are probably sick of these old posts! I put a lot of effort into my online cooking club – and the 58 members don’t do anything! Maybe I’ll retire that one and come back to this one. HAPPY THANKSGIVING to YOU Mike!! XXX, SCB
Well at least you can count on your Mom posting.
