I don’t blog too much these days.  I could blame it on my boyfriend, my job, my Netflix account…all good things that keep me busy and entertained.

But the truth is, I’m just lazy!  And that not only keeps me from blogging, it also improves my quality of life.  Lately I’ve noticed how many appliances I have doing things for me…and I love it!!

Take for example my beautiful, digital, ridiculously expensive, completely automatic espresso maker.  I start each day with 2 shots from this masterpiece while praying to the Gods of Caffeine that it never stops working.

With that kind of coffee habit, clean teeth are important and so easy with my electric toothbrush that not only illustrates applying the brush to the tooth (in case I get confused), but it smiles when I’ve completed my 2-minute job!  I’ve made it happy!

Into the bedroom and the King of Supple Skin…my fantastic Korean humidifier!  I’ve had MANY humidifiers over the years and I’m not easily impressed.  But this one…this is the HE-MAN of humidifiers.  Get yourself a BuBang and never go back.

And lastly – the piece de resistance, the appliance that all my other appliances are jealous of…my Roomba robot.  I call him Ralphie.  I’m fascinated by his maneuverings and his courage going where no (wo)man has gone before.  I never fail to smile (like my toothbrush) when Ralphie’s finished and ready for a recharge. Off he goes back to his dock (how does he know where it is?!?) gets in, plays a happy little tune and calls it a day.  I am lazily overcome with joy.

BUBANG, I love you. You make my sinuses happy and my skin just so nice. Where were you the other ten years of my life?

That first pic looks just a little blurry.

  1. It is…it’s low light and I don’t like a flash, but I sort of dug the ’70’s neon feel and thought it was a good attention getter.

Just wondering what type of camera are you using?

  2. I use a Nikon D-40 digital SLR camera, no complaints. For film I use an OLD Pentax K-1000, my only blog post shot on film is Ciao Italia and of course, those are my favorite pictures, they are actually slides.

    Are you into photography Mike?

Yes. I have an old Canon AE 1 Program 35 mm slr with two lens, a VIVTAR 70 TO 210 zoom lens and the 50 mm that came with it. Have not used them in years. Mainly because my pics sucked. :)

This past June I purchased a Canon A590is and fell in love with taking pictures all over because it is digital and I will just keep shooting till I get what I like. Love that little camera but I wanted somting more so I just got my hands on a Canon SX10is. Its no dslr but it has a 20 time optical zoom that is just fantastic out doors. Still most of what I shoot is not what I would call “Great Photography” :(

Very impressed with the DSLR you have.

  3. Thanks Mike! You’re right, digital technolgy = instant gratification. I held my breath all thru Italy that my film exposures were OK…and when I got to Venice the film broke in my camera! I locked myself in a windowless bathroom with a towel under the door, unloaded it in the pitch black and sealed up the film in a…sanitary bag? The only thing available in that bathroom…because the new film canisters are clear!! The guy at Duggal Labs was very confused taking this package from me! Luckily, the film was perfect. XXX
